Il Relais Antiche Saline nasce nel 2005 a seguito di una ristrutturazione minuziosa, attenta e ben compiuta dell'antico Baglio dei Marchesi Platamone. Immerso nella Riserva Naturale delle Saline tra Trapani e Marsala, il Relais gode di una posizione realmente unica e fuori dal comune. Built around 1950 and renovated in 2006, this hotel is designed to be like a little village. The central body of the building includes a reception, a restaurant, a bar, a reading room, a TV room and a large panoramic terrace. The hotel was built with local stones by skilled local workers, following the typical style of the Medieval village of Erice. Erice is situated on San Giuliano Mountain (751 metres high) and it preserves an extremely charming Medieval village for you to explore during your stay, from the gates of the town to its buildings and paved streets.

The typical Sicilian house is from the beginning of the 1900. The renovation has brought back the magnificent architecture of the old cellar, now transformed in a delicious lunchroom. The food prepared in our kitchen has been mentioned in the Slow Food 2001, dishes are made following the old tradition and using only fresh ingredient. For the children we have an area with a see-saw, a slide and a bowling green. The swimming pool is close to the kid’s recreation ground.

Il recente restauro, nel rispetto dell’architettura originaria, ha ridato splendore alla vecchia cantina trasformata in un'ampia sala da pranzo con annessa sala tv.
