If you are looking for a luxurious experience surrounded by the peace and tranquility of the African bush and far from the distractions of the modern world where the only disturbance is the call of the magnificent fish eagle piercing the morning skies and the lazy flow of the river far below, then Huntshoek Game Lodge is the place for you. We have two different establishments which cater for all budgets and needs. Huntsdrift is an intimate self-catering lodge ideal for small groups. There are five rooms with en-suite bathrooms and a communal open-plan lounge, dining room, bar and kitchen area that open out onto a central gathering point where guests can draw together around a crackling fire. Huntshoek is a luxury lodge consisting of five chalets each with a private deck and magnificent views of the Fish River. The chalets have en-suite bathrooms as well as open-air showers for the adventurous. Huntshoek offers dinner, bed and breakfast with the rate per day inclusive of all beverages. Light lunches can be arranged upon request. Bring your mountain bike or walking shoes and explore this very diverse and rugged countryside which is alive with warthog, buck, zebra and wildebeest to name a few. With an abundance of bird life, it is the avid birdwatcher's delight so make sure you bring your bird guide and binoculars. Discover a surprise around every corner, from fragile flora to the slow moving tortoise; you will not be disappointed. The river offers great fresh water angling experiences and a challenge to any addicted angler or newcomer. At nightfall, sit on the deck and gaze up at an unforgettable star-studded sky or simply soak up the sounds of the bush and the beauty of a moonlit night while sipping one of our superb South African wines.
