Thornicroft Lodge is an amazing new lodge in the heart of Africa's finest unspoiled wildlife area, offering a very comfortable 2 person chalets with excellent bedding, walk-in mosquito nets, private toilet, shower, electricity, a beautiful view on Luangwa River, cuisine food and of course unforgettable game drives in the stunning South Luangwa national park. Thornicroft Lodge is situated on the bank of the Luangwa River, facing the South Luangwa National Park. We have 10 luxurious chalets, all en-suite for 2 people, and in the impressive main building you find the lounge area, dining area, the bar and at 50 meters a swimming pool. Your stay here is on a full board basis (all meals) and includes 2 (approx 4 hours) game drives per full day stay. Wildlife is closer than you could ever imagine: Hippos, crocodiles and water birds can always be seen in and along the river. In the late afternoon you might even see elephants come to the river to drink and bath or even cross the river, looking for fresh lush green plants and trees in or around the village. This is the real Africa.
