Situated in Kosi Bay Nature Reserve, the 16 bedded luxury Kosi Forest Lodge allows guests the unique opportunity of canoeing the Kosi Lake system. Other activities include snorkelling, beach excursions, boat trips on the Kosi Lakes and Rafia Forest walks. Home to the Palm Nut Vulture and Pel's Fishing Owl both the Raffia Palm Forest and Sihadla River banks can be explored by keen birders at their leisure. Enjoy iLala Palm wine making and tasting, or savour this Maputaland speciality in our chef's cuisine. Guests will be accompanied by trained guides in open air vehicles on all excursions. Kosi Forest Lodge guests are accommodated in luxurious thatched bedrooms well hidden in the sand forest. Our unique open-air en-suite bathrooms have been noted by our guests as one of the highlights of their visit. Mosquito netting lines each bedroom. Rates are fully inclusive of all meals, activities and most excursions (excluding turtle tracking). Fees are charged for entering the Kosi Bay Nature Reserve and for using own 4-wheel drive vehicles. The lodge can only be reached by 4-wheel driven vehicles, and transfers from the Kwangwanase Police Station take place twice a day. Kosi Forest Lodge dress code is casual. Please remember to bring sun-block, footwear suitable for walking through swampy areas, windbreaker/raincoat, hat, torch and mosquito repellent.
