Sundowner Zambezi Lodge is situated close to the confluence of the Deka and mighty Zambezi River. The lodge overlooks one of the most beautiful bends of this magnificent river and, situated 140 km from the famous Victoria Falls and 150 km from Hwange National Park, makes an ideal location. Guests are accommodated in spacious natural stone en-suite lodges with sweeping views. The lodge also offers a bar, dining room, recreational area, braai area, and a stunning veranda where you can watch the resident hippo and Fish eagles. To cool off on those hot days, a sparkling swimming pool is available set behind the thatched boma for guests’ privacy. Staff are on hand at all times for your convenience. The lodge is located a stone's throw away from the river, giving anglers easy access to famous Tiger fishing areas that have stood the test of time. Fishing is explosive in this region, with a variety of freshwater sport fish to keep anglers on the edge of their seats. Catch varieties like the famous Tiger fish, nkupe, chessa, bream and vundu. Boats are available with experienced guides who will show you where to fish and teach you the techniques, should you wish. In addition, there are a number of beautiful walks in the area, and guests can be accompanied by one of our experienced guides. The surrounding bush around the lodge ranges from riverine forest to Mopani woodlands, thus offering a diversity of birdlife and landscape. Game-viewing can also be arranged at the Hwange National Park.
