Situated in Colesberg, halfway on route between Cape Town and Jo'burg, the perfect stop over for the tired tourist, is our grand old, yet modern guest house. This house was built in 1840 and restored to its former state in 2005. The thickwalls, high ceilings and beautiful restored wooden floors, ensure a cool and pleasant atmosphere. Although this house is part of our National heritage, we have changed the inside of the house, that each room is en-suite, has its own separate outside entrance and patio, offering each guest with privacy. Our guest house does not form part of the owner's residence. The rooms are spacious, all with Tea/Coffee facilities, TV1, 2, 3 and a DSTV channel to choose from, luxuriously furnished with comfortable double beds, an ideal family unit with an inter leading room with two single beds and a lounge suite, we also have a self catering unit with a queen size bed, single bed, a lounge suite and a fire place. We have safe and secure, off the street parking and a night watch on duty. We are within walking distance of all the restaurants. This early evening stroll is enjoyed by our guests after a long and tiresome journey. A plant, by the name of Traveller's Joy, or botanical name Clematis Brachiates that grows wild in our area, well known for its healing powers and soothing of tired and sore muscles, is exactly what we want every guest to experience. We want every guest staying over at our guest house, to have a pleasant stay and continue their journey well rested.
