Our hotel is well located for access to the pistes and lifts with the closest slope just across the road. The high altitude resort of Alpe dHuez is situated in the southern French Alps. We are only 150 m walk to the nearest lift. It is equally well situated for all the amenities of the town, just a short walk to the shops and sports centre. We are in the old section of the town known as 'vieil alpe' and this traditional feel is carried through the hotel to the rooms which are simple, light and airy, but comfortable with a rustic style. Most of the rooms are en suite and most are south facing, many of them having a balcony. There are a selection of twin rooms, doubles and quads to choose from. Meals will be served in 'The Grove' restaurant which is situated on the first floor and has a sun terrace leading off it.

Notre hôtel se trouve dans la vieille ville connu sous le nom de 'vieille alpe' et sa traditionnelle simplicité vous emportera jusqu'à nos chambres simples, eclairées, confortables et vous offrant un style rustique. La plupart de nos chambres sont équipées d'une salle de bain, en orientation vers le Sud et bénéficient en majorité d'un balcon. Les repas sont servis dans le restaurant 'The Grove' qui est situé au premier étage et qui vous offre une terasse ensoleillée.

Alpe D'Huez is a resort well renowned for its excellent snow conditions and long hours of sunshine. With 220 km and 108 pistes, the skiing at Alpe d'Huez is wide and varied. The resort boasts Europe's longest black run La Sarenne -a real challenge for advanced skiers, as well as plenty of challenging runs for intermediates and many nursery runs at the centre of the resort that are ideal for beginners. There are both indoor and outdoor swimming pools, an Olympic sized ice rink and a sports centre with tennis and squash courts. For apr?s-ski, the resort offers visitors many bars and nightclubs and more than 40 restaurants.

Our hotel is located on the ski runs, near to the city centre of Alpe d'Huez. 'Les Grandes Rousses' offers lots of activities and entertainment all year round. All superior rooms are equipped with balconies, offering a view of the mountains and the resort. They are equipped with a bathroom with bath, a desk, safety box, minibar, satellite TV and direct phone.
