Stayokay Heeg is ideally located: a former island on the edge of the Heegermeer, the largest lake in Friesland. There is so much room. Head for the pitch or the survival course. The hostel even has a harbour and boathouse with authentic flat-bottomed Tjotters. In nice weather, enjoy the terrace. The two restaurants feature delicious fare, from breakfast buffets to dinners. In the mood for company? Visit the bar or main hall and strike up a conversation or play a game of pool.
In Heeg krijg je het idee dat niets hoeft, maar alles kan. Het dorpje zelf heeft geschiedenis gemaakt door de internationale palinghandel, maar is tegenwoordig vooral een geliefde stek voor watersporters. Je ziet ze op hun gemak binnenwandelen bij de echte Friese bakker met de bekende Sukerbole en Dumkes.
