Facing west across a lagoon, Kwara Camp enjoys spectacular sunsets. The diversity of Kwara ranges from permanent Delta water with lagoons, channels, islands, open grasslands and Mopane woodlands. Kwara camp is situated north of and adjacent to the world renowned Moremi Game Reserve. Kwara is in the centre of the vast Kwara concession - which fronts onto the permanent water of the stunning Okavango Delta and is backed by extensive bush. Fly-In, Safari Lodge, Wildlife, Game Drives, Safari, Walking /Hiking, Canoeing (Mekoro Trips), Fishing, Birding, Game Cruise, Plunge Pool. Based on the mainland, Kwara is able to offer more frequent sightings of Sable, Buffalo and Waterbuck which tend to migrate between the better grazing in-land, to the waterline. This different environment offers exciting and adventurous alternatives to normal programmes. The teak furniture created for us by Zimbabwean master craftsmen is elegant, comfortable and simple. Most of the tents are raised on teak decks to afford views over the surrounding plains and lagoon with the resident hippo’s. Kwara like our other camps has a small splash pool and a gift shop. The camp consists of 8 Meru tents accommodating 16 guests. The camp setting, in a tall treed island, on the edge of the Okavango Delta completes the picture of this special camp. Facing west across a lagoon, the eight tents enjoy spectacular sunsets. Equipped in the inimitable fashion, they feature twin beds with private facilities, solar power and gas heated hot water all day. You will find a warm welcome after each special day. Around a campfire at night, camaraderie prevails as bushlore anecdotes are recounted. A gracious meal is prepared and noble wines uncorked. Locally the camp manager will suggest options that are feasible depending on local conditions: a leisurely boat ride; four-wheel drive in a safari vehicle or walking. An armed ranger will escort you through some of the finest game walking country along the shores of the delta. Equipped with a radio in the event of any assistance that may be required, you can experience the real wild. Apart from the regular activities, other activities include boat and mokoro rides, game walks and night drives.
