Zibalianja Camp is a small, tented safari camp situated on a palm island on the edge of Botswana's northern Linyanti Swamps, with panoramic views of the open floodplains that surround the lagoon from which the camp gets its name. With only a maximum of 6 guests, visitors are guarnteed a personal and intimate safari experience in true African tradition. Zibalianja Lagoon is the source of the famous Savuti channel and is the southern catchment of the Linyanti swamps in northern Botswana. The area is characterised by extensive floodplain savannah with the occassional palm studded island breaking the skyline. Fly-In, Wildlife, Game Drives, Walking Safaris, Walking, Fishing (limited), Photography, Birding. Specialist guiding delivers a wide selection of African wildlife including elephant, the hippo-killing lions of Selinda, cheetah, wild dog, leopard, zebra, wildebeest, hippo, hyena, sable, giraffe & lechwe. Night drives produce an abundance of nocturnal species. Unbelievable bird life and varied vegetation, which is best viewed in the summer between October and April. Twin-bed Meru style safari tents on raised wooden platforms with flysheet and shade net cover. Ensuite bathrooms with fully integrated modern facilities. Solar lighting. Curio shop and fully stocked bar. A campfire for cool evenings! A viewing deck offering magnificent views over the plains. A sunken hide overlooking a small, but active, waterhole. Daily laundry. Early morning game drives aboard 4x4 Land cruisers, followed by an open-air 'brunch'. Sufficient time to relax on the deck, siesta, or write postcards. Afternoon game drives, with sundowners, that blend into a night drive with spotlights. Occasional Bush Dinners Short walks from camp or on drives.
