Botswana has some of the last free roaming herds of Elephant in Africa; including antelope: from the tiny steenbok to the giant eland, impala, waterbuck, bushbuck and klipspringer. Zebra, hyena and jackal, vultures, ostrich, warthog, perhaps ant bear and porcupine can be seen. Towards evening, kudu, wildebeest, giraffe and lion come to the waterholes to drink in the lengthening shadows. If you’re lucky you may spot leopard and cheetah. Tuli is rich in bird life, with 350 species, including the Kori Bustard – you will see the magnificent black, fish and martial eagles and saddle billed storks, the ground hornbill and the brilliantly coloured rollers, bee-eaters and kingfishers.
