Altona Lodge is ideally situated at the foot of Signal Hill, midway between Cape Town city centre and bustling Sea Point. The Victoria & Alfred Waterfront is a mere 20 minutes' walk away while all the entertainment available in Sea Point is even closer!Altona Lodge was built in 1890 as a three bed roomed house. It was later extended and used as a boarding house. Midway through the twentieth century it was converted to an old age home and used as such until about seven years ago when it was yet again converted to the Bed and Breakfast Guest House as it is today.Altona Lodge contains seventeen bedrooms, four of which are en-suite and thirteen share bathrooms. Seven of the rooms can be found on the ground floor with ten rooms on the top floor.
